1.- Eat a balanced diet, but not too restrictive unless your goal is losing weight too quickly, in addition to “lower the belly.”

2.- Take a daily high-fiber foods: salads, vegetables, fruits, whole grains.

Weight Loss Pills – Beware of Risks

The Xelical and Reductil are two prescription drugs sold in pharmacies Spanish to mitigate the symptoms of obesity. A third of patients treated with them usually lose 10% of its weight, allowing them to improve the diseases associated with obesity. But beware, these medications are not for people who want to lose 1-3 kilos, and their side effects are considerable. These drugs act by reducing the amount of lipids absorbed in the intestine, increasing energy expenditure (termogéneisis) or directly on the nervous system controlling hunger and satiety.

Side effects of medications include: rapid heart rate, increased blood pressure, digestive problems, dry mouth, fatigue. They are contraindicated in case of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, glaucoma and can interact with other medicines.

More dangerous are the pills or products that are sold with the claim that removing the appetite, which is dangerous and unrealistic. So far, only prescription medicines in pharmacies by prescription are able to partially achieve this effect. Other products capable of achieving suppress hunger are those that contain ephedrine, an alkaloid found in amphetamines. Do not ever take them on your own: they have been removed in most countries for its dangerous side effects. If the issue of your excess weight is linked to your eating habits, what you need is help from a psychologist. To feel satisfied, try to eat more fruits and vegetables rich in fiber and low in calories.

Do not let them fool you: you can not lose in two days what has won in months or years, goes against all logic and nature.

Strategy No. 1) Exercise is essential for sustained weight loss

We chose to talk about weight training separately from conventional exercise (see Strategy 1) because of the significant benefits of weight training to lose weight permanently. The basic equation is this: the more you muscle you will burn calories. This is why the best weight lifters must eat lots of calories each day to maintain their weight.

The muscle is active tissue, fat is not one. Thus, muscle burns a significant number of calories each day for his own maintenance. A U.S. study has shown that a group of women who had dieted to lose weight and did strength exercises lost 44% more fat than another group of women who were simply following a diet to lose Weight (without weights).

While cardio exercises can help you burn calories, muscle is always helpful to give your metabolism a significant daily increase even at rest, and help you lose weight permanently.
